Emap, the UK publishing house with titles including FHM, Closer and Zoo, executives yesterday were pushing all the right Web 2.0 buttons when they gave gave a briefing on their online strategy, according to Mark Sweeney in Media Guardian.
Mike Burgess, wireless editor at Emap Interactive, followed the BBC’s Richard Sambrook and Tom Glocer of Reuters in stating a position that’s beginning to sound like accepted fact: "Media companies need to stop being like an authority figure and become facilitators."
