So the BBC’s launching trial video podcasts of Newsnight and the News at Ten, eh?  Cool.

I now have zero commute-time (I’m cycling aling Brighton beach-front to work in case I didn’t mention that before) in which to watch the news on the video iPod i do not yet own (as will not until the ruggedised, me-proof version arrives at sub £100 price-point, while avoiding getting mugged for thing.

There’ll be two more re-cuts of the same content – nice micro-chunking action, Beeb – with a weekly compilation of the News at Ten’s best bits and StoryFix a "tongue in cheek" look at the last week’s news. I’ll reserve judgement on that, especially since I’m now having the satire-loving part of my brain colonised by ZeFrank and can’t imagine anyone quite living up to his scathing interpretations of "sustainable ceasefires" and Condoleeza Rice’s "magic satchel" diplomacy.
