Graffiti in Brighton and Santiago

Talking of Flickr, some of the photos I put up recently were of the amazing graffiti art that Brighton & Hove Council commissioned for Kensington Street in the North Laine area of the city.

The murals are on the backs of houses and apart from adding to the character of the North Laine they act like graff scareccrows keeping away the tagging pests…

Anyway, the images earned me a new Flickr contact K.E.L.P. who has a stunning gallery of graffiti from Santiago, Chile

So, as a Friday treat here’s a picture from Brighton:

And one from Santiago:

  1. I walked down that street for the first time in ages yesterday and was blown away. They’re much better than the New England Quarter Equivalents

  2. Yep – and hopefully permanent!
